Khaled Barakeh Uses Conceptual Art to Uncover Social and Political Injustices

Khaled Barakeh is a Berlin-based artist and cultural activist, originating from Syria. Through conceptual art, he depicts the political and social injustices facing people from the Middle East, in part to better inform European audiences. In 2017, Khaled founded CoCulture, a nonprofit that supports displaced artists and connects Syrian and other ‘non-Western’ artists to professional opportunities.
