Tariffs in North America: Perspectives from the Private Sector

The Mexico Institute will convene a roundtable discussion to explore the evolving landscape of U.S.-Mexico trade relations and tariff policies. This high-level dialogue will bring together policy experts, industry leaders, and government officials to assess the impacts of recent tariff measures, potential trade disruptions, and avenues for cooperation.
This roundtable aims to facilitate solutions-driven dialogue to inform future trade policy approaches and strengthen the U.S.-Mexico economic partnership.
Rather than a traditional panel discussion, this event will be an interactive webinar, allowing representatives from key industries—including agriculture, manufacturing, energy, automotive, lumber, critical minerals, and steel and aluminum—to share their insights. Each speaker will discuss the impact of tariffs on business, with a particular emphasis on American interests.
This webinar will serve as a foundation for a sector-specific webinar series, providing a deeper dive into the unique challenges and opportunities each industry faces.
