USCG Polar Security Cutter (Icebreaker) Program

The Polar Security Cutter Porgram is a USCG program to replace the service's aging fleet of icebreakers. The current plan calls for the construction of three heavy icebreakers, with funding provided for the construction of the first vessel and procurement of long-lead time parts for a second. Total program cost of $1.9 billion.
